To resolve the bugs and performance issues in iOS 10, Apple has been working on iOS 10.2 since almost a month now and has released 4 beta versions of the firmware for developers. And today, Apple has seeded iOS 10.2 beta 5 too, which is available for download for the members of the Developer Program as well as the Public Beta Program. This fifth beta of the major iOS 10.2 update brings a lot of improvements in the firmware and it is expected that it will live up to the expectations of those who will be testing out the beta.

iOS 10.2 beta 5 has been released hardly a week after the fourth beta was seeded by Apple for developers. Apple has included a change log with the fifth beta release and the notes show that a lot of bug fixes and improvements have been included to stabilize the firmware and make it perfectly fit and ready for the official public. We do not know yet whether or not Apple has included any major feature additions or changes in the iOS 10.2 beta 5, but we are still exploring the fifth beta and we will let you know if we find anything new
How to Install iOS 10.2 beta 5 :
In case you are on iOS 10.2 beta 4, then you can download iOS 10.2 beta 5 via over-the-air update . If you are installing an iOS 10.2 beta for the first time, you can download the 1+ GB file from Apple’s Developer Program or Public Beta Program . Follow the steps below for instructions .
- In case your iOS device is already running an iOS 10 beta , you can update to iOS 10.2 beta 5 with the OTA update option. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update in your iOS device and update to the latest beta version.
- If your iOS device is running iOS 9, you can update to iOS 10 beta by directly downloading the beta firmware file from Apple’s Developer Program [ext link].
