iOS 10.3.3 Jailbreak

iOS 10 jailbreaks have been a bit thin on the ground, much of it down to the new security features in the iOS and the sheer number of updates that Apple keeps releasing. iOS 10.3.3 download has just been released and, while we can’t say whether it will result in a jailbreak or not, no doubt the teams are working hard on it as we speak.

To date, the only jailbreak we have is Yalu for iOS 10 to iOS 10.2 but, as many users have discovered, it can only be downloaded on the 64-bit devices, which leaves quite a few users out in the cold as far as jailbreaks go. There is also little chance of this jailbreak being updated to support iOS 10.3.3 as the developer, Luca Todesco, has told us that he is stepping back from all pubic iOS security work. Whether that is the death knell for jailbreaks or not is something we can’t answer right now.

iOS 10.3.3 Jailbreak Release Date :

There are other teams still working on jailbreaking although we have heard little from Taig, PP or Pangu in recent months.  However, that isn’t to say they have disappeared altogether and, as we all know with jailbreaking, anything can happen. It isn’t unheard of for a complete unknown to appear out of the wood work and produce a working and safe jailbreak that everyone can use after all, that’s what happened with Taig and Pangu and they both went on to produce some of the safest and most reliable jailbreaks we have ever seen.

Of course, that doesn’t help us right now but, it is worth bearing in mind that iOS 10.3.3 has only just been released and, although it is just a minor update, the teams are going to need time to see what’s going on in it and whether there is anything they can use. Also keep in mind that this is likely to be one of the last updates for iOS 10. Apple is expected to announce iOS 11 at WWDC in June and will then spend the summer months releasing betas and working to get the next iOS ready for release in September.

It may be that the jailbreak teams are holding on waiting for a time when they can release a jailbreak that Apple won’t be in a hurry to patch, simply because they have other things to concentrate on. If that is the case, then we could be seeing a new jailbreak utility anytime soon.
